And it probably is, Denise, because you push yourself to do better. I think improvement should be the goal of any creative endeavor.
Gorgeous cake Corni. I am also in that number of being my own worst critic. I will nit pick every little thing about my cakes for days afterward. And every cake I do is always going to be "my best one yet"...lol.
beautiful ; )
;o) Gee........thank you ladies. No degrees or majored in arts from my side but love to create things with my hands.
OK, Corni, so there you have it! The artists agree, this is one of the masterpieces :o)
hey I have a degree in art also ! my older brother had a masters in art ! and I know whats pretty and I am loving this,
I tend to be the same way. I majored in fine arts in college and have discovered that there were two types of artist (and I do put cake designers in that category), the one who believes every piece he creates is a masterpiece and the one who is never satisfied with anything he does. I am in the last group and it sounds like you are, too. The other think I have discovered is that a much higher quality of product comes from the second group :o) I just love, love this cake!
Thanks Sandra, I am a bit of a perfectionist and am very critical of my work - even when the client is happy I always see something I could have done better.
That is one mat I will definitely buy if I ever run across it because I think this cake is stunning! Your work is so clean and fresh.
Thanks everyone!
Sandra, the modeling chocolate was rolled out on a imprint mat and then i painted it - you are right they are too perfect to be hand painted.
