Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This was for my aunt, she wanted half choc. with pb icing and half white/vanilla buttercream icing. I surprised her by adding the edible photo but had to figure out how to mix the pb and white design. This was a "figure it out as I go" cake. I would do a few things differently but I thought it turned out pretty well in the end. It prompted some new ideas! Flowers are fondant and buttercream. Edible pearls

as I mentioned this was a rushed cake and I was planning to make it fairly simple and I did it as I went with no planning ahead but if I were doing another one I would do flowers all the way around to give more of the frame effect. Thank you for the compliments.

Such a pretty cake Wendy. Beautiful finish, great transition with the colours, and sweet flowers. I to love the piped frame.

You did a wonderful job, Wendy!  The cake is beautiful.  I love the frame you created with the piping and flowers.
