Watermelon Cake
My "attempt" at a watermelon cake. Taking this to a family bb-q, so decided to experiment. Well icing tastes great but looks awful!!! Used shortening & vegan brand of canola spread as opposed to my usual shortening & butter. Icing "oozed" overnight.... Nice!! Couldn't get the color right, didn't have super red, so hence the pinkish colour.
Oh well, it was fun to make & it's just for the family.... right??

1stly Mai... tokk this pic with my IPod... so didn't turn out very well. And your right, actual watermelon is pinkish, not red.

The colour is totally ok.. watermelons sometimes have this pinkish colour.
