I here ya Goretti
I spent 4 1/2 days at my daughters helping with reno's. We were so busy we ate fast food AND DQ's blizzards......Ya, like I need that kinda food like a hole in the head. I was done before I went, but know I put on weight. My daughter said, well just go home, work out & sweat and it will come right off.
Ah, at my age that ain't so easy!!!
No
Will go on & ck out Tracy's finished Queen.
I hear you Goreti. I have a very strict regime now - what I want at the weekend and completely controlled during the week - no naughties whatsoever. That way I can put on a couple of pounds over the weekend, but know I will have it off again in the week. You just have to grit your teeth to get there in the first place.
Yep - I'm proud to be British today. We sure can do a pageant here. Just keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for Tracy's day now. She has put so much work into everything, it would be desperate if it chucked it down. Have you seen the updated HRH photo on her FB page?
Have an extra piece for me. I want something sweet so badly but I don't dare. I have a doctor's appt on Tuesday and she is not going to be happy when I step on the scale. Why is it so easy to go up but so hard to come down? I can gain a couple of lbs in one weekend but takes me weeks to take them off. This getting older sucks.
Yes
When you think of it...it has been her WHOLE life. She had to sacrifice all that personal time to her children & husband, who had to come 2nd, and they knew it. As children, that must have been difficult. She couldn't just "pop in" to their school play, or take a stroll with them for ice cream...you know what I mean. Family celebrations...b-days, anniversaries etc., missed because she was away involved in some official duty. We can't possibly imagine that kind of service, at least I can't. I am sure over the years there were some heart tugs. But she made a commitment and solemn promise, which she has kept through thick & thin.
So my hat is definetly off to her!!!!
Tehe Goreti - I had the queen and my cake too! After all, wasn't it Marie Antoinette that said - Let them eat cake'?
Forget the queen, I want a piece of cake!
I sure hope she did have thermals on. Nonetheless, she has been a real trouper this afternoon and I can't help but admire her for it. She knows her role and what people expect of her and she never, ever fails to deliver.
Well it has been chilly & cold AND rainy here for 4 days. I have cabin fever!!!! It poured, and poured AND poured yesterday. The wind was so strong, it pushed over one of our small trees that Steve will have to re-brace. It also knocked over part of a large rose bush which I had to cut. So it could have been like that. I am sure she had on her thermals??? Ha! Ha! The royal wedding was a beautiful day tho. May early June weather can always be sketchy
