Thank you. Yes the tiers are covered in fondant and pianted blue on top. I go back over the blue with a paper towel which makes nice high clouds in the sky. The rest of the painting is royal icing and gel colors. Did you see the cherry blossom side? Some say it's more interesting. I considered the green tree as the front.

Did you see the cherry blossom side. Everyone like it better and I called it the back.  This was when the piece was still in progress. That's why the edge is so bad.  It was my first cake show piece ever.
