ok. yes. i know everything that goes on a cake should be non-toxic. however, these figures that I have been making are for a display and will be exposed to sunlight, so I used acrylic paints. I know that the gel colors will fade over time.
no i haven't made clay for cakes ! i do know they sell the clay just for making deco's for cakes tho ! i alway make my gumpaste out of my fondant !with tylose powder added ! any thing you put onthe cake should be none toxic !
gel colors mixed with vodka !
what do you prefer gel colors, air brush colors or acrylics?? have you ever made figures out of polymer clay instead of gumpaste and fondant??? would you use those figures for a cake????
because i wanted that more realistic look. i feel as tho the gel colors take more time to dry and the acrylics are dried in the matter of minutes and i dont have to worry about touching and getting the color thats still wet on my hand while painting other parts of the body. all my figures are done that way.
and thanks for the compliment ; )
just wondering why you painted him with acrylic and not gel colors ?
