It was my mother-in-law's birthday last Friday (11th April 2013) and I wanted to give her this delicate flowery cake... I wanted it to reflect love and I was told it does reflect it :)
The nice thing was trying to fix all shades of colours of fondant from the basic colours that I have (red, green, yellow, blue & black)... Everyone was so impressed by the result.
I made it my usual chocolate sponge cake with chocolate ganach filling, caramel sauce & toasted hazelnuts... moistened with pineapple juice and frosted with almond buttercream and home-made marshmallows fondant.
