OH MADE SOME YUMMY ROYAL , WITH LIME JUICE , NOT LEMON , LOL , CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL NOW LETS SEE HOW IT PIPES !
ok , I baked my cakes , now to figure out what to do with it , and yes since its for us to eat , my famous key lime , cake with fresh limes , juiced , and added instead of water or milk , YUMMY
Les loves it! Don't ya?
Exactly Linda - too much moisture I would expect to dissolve the royal
lol I think Les , will enjoy reading our corresponding's ! he's an ok good friend , maybe he'll check in and join us ; ))
sorry Les !
Poor Les!!! His in box is going to be stuffed with all of our corresponding!!
I was thinking the same thing, Katy. A collar is pretty heavy all in itself and I would be concerned that the grease factor would break down the royal icing and make it crack or break in two.
I am now liking to a mix media ! now , buttercream ,royal and fondant or gumpaste!
thank you Katy , I want to play with piping and royal , just trying to figure out the way to go without wasting to much , and the time , ! I at the least want something coming out ok with my piping , lol !
I'd be doubtful about an r.i. collar holding up on buttercream. My Mum always did them on a royal base. These days, of course, fondant too.
