Really hope Grandad makes it back to you for Christmas.  It won't be the same for you without him.  Fingers crossed xxxx

It does make you think though, when we get told ' dont got out unless its and emergency ' with that kind of weather, then you see all these crashes that could of been so easily avoided it they had listend!!

Grandad s havin up and down days, he nearly ended up bak in HDU last week and then seemed ok untill yesterday. He was due to come home the day before that ! Just want him home esp for christmas. I miss him. Hes got to go to a rehabilitation place to get him to walk again etc at some point. I was so hoping he would be home for christmas.

Mr Fiennes has lost a few things due to severe frost bite before now lol

Glad to hear your one of us sensible ones Katy ;-)

You're right there Gail - people just don't seem to use their brains, or just think - it won't happen to me. I don't even take the car out in icy weather.

Yeh - silly old sod!  (Fiennes that is, obviously not your Grandad!!!!!!!!!).  Why on earth would anyone want to trek 2000 miles in the dark in temperatures that can give you frostbite in minutes?

How is your Gdad doing?

We had an epic moment today.  We bought our middle grandson driving lessons for his 18th birthday last year and he has just bought himself a car and managed to get it insured.  So he came round and took us out for a ride in it.  Doesn't seem like 10 minutes ago that he was just a toddler.  Mick (my husband) said he would remember that moment for the rest of his life, bless.

Well my husband is an OAP so if it goes below 0 for 5 consecutive days, they have to pay him a supplement to his winter fuel allowance lol!
