I played with gelatin and royal icing , made butterflys & flowers ! I still have them , , that was a while back , yes it is durable ; )

Thank you everyone! His wings along with about 1/2 his scales are made out of gelatin. It is a great effect that looks like pulled sugar but it so much more durable! I have been playing with it a ton, stay tuned for what is next! The Sugar Ship's balloon is also made of gelatin, along with the windows into the ship and the fish bowl on the deck. The Alien cake also has gelatin applications in the funky flowers around the base as well as the helmet on the tight rope walker.

I been wanting to do a dragon for a long time , I did one in clay , its back home in NY , hopefully in one pc , , someday I'll post it if my man gets it to me , lol but he is so beautifully done , his wings ? what did you make them out of , isomalt ?
