Katy, my dear, if you have a nice simple recipe, I would love to try it. And they kept referring to 'resteaming' it, but nowhere could I find out why?, or when?, or every time?, or WHAT? does it mean, and ???? Is it a dessert, or part of a meal, or what? Any & all help would be appreciated here...lol
Thanks all - just messed it up decorating it lol!
Bonnie you crack me up. Yes, butter icing is 'English' for butter cream. And I used just about everything under the sun - side scraper, parchment, upside down method, knife over parchment (ack. Betty) and even a wet finger here and there! And girl, if you have never had steamed pudding, you haven't lived. A good old English staple pudding - so many variations, not least of them being Spotted Dick (lol) and all of them delicious, fattening and filling!
Looking good
Looks good Katy...
What did you use? Paper towel? Parchment? Waxed paper? _______?
And what is butter icing? Same as buttercream? I just spent half an hour looking up 'steamed pudding', never heard of it. Yeah, I know, my back country side showing again...lol
beautiful
