This is a steampunk cake. The bottom tier is a 14 inch hexagon, 3 tiers of grand fudge poured with Bailey's Irish cream and filled with chocolate ganache. Each side of the hexagon has a different steampunk decoration theme all made of fondant and tylose mixture. One side is all industrial age plumbing airbrushed in gold, bronze, and copper and wiring made by pumping fondant mixed with shortening through an extruder and then wrapping it around a dowel to dry and then airbrushing it, one is all clockwork gears in gold, bronze, copper and silver which were made with various cutters and then using the Duff Goldman small cutter set with little triangles, rounds, ovals, etc. to cut shapes within the gears and imprinting them with a tip 3, 5 or 7. One side is a drawer (made with gumpaste and hand painted and filled with cake, fondanted and pearldusted) filled with jewels and gold coins with a draping pearl necklace hanging out of the drawer made from Witon's new silicone mold and airbrushed with pearl and then dusted with mother of pearl. The gold coins are made with the small round cutter, airbrushed gold and then dusted with gold, the corsets are handmade and texturized, one with a sculpy lace texture and the other veined to look like the natural metal supports. The upper lace is made with a garrett cutter and gumpaste, the white corset is topped with edible 4mm pearls. The pipe is FondX modeled after Sherlock Holmes pipe (lifesize). The gold bee was all hand sculpted and airbrushed then dusted gold. The royal blue heart is from the Wilton boroque mold. The goggles are hand made by forming fondant around a tall, thin vase with a flat bottom and hand painted with straight americolor ivory and then rims for the goggles, monacle and spectacles were cut out with two closely sized rounds so that there are no seams and painted gold. The inner part of the goggles is dusted with silver to look like reflective glass. Holes were made on the sides with a tip 7 and then the leather looking fondant was made by mixing with extra shortening and pumping through an extruder with a round tip, then hand painted americolor warm brown. The lace on the side of the treasure chest is an imprint with fondant from caljaveonline. Rather than cake boards, the upper cake is placed on 8" round mirrors, Wilton's garden gazebo tier which has an antique broche hanging from the top mirror which is facing down for recurrant reflection. The base of the tophat was made by cutting a 8" round 1/8" thick and laying it to dry over a bowl. The hat is 4 6" rounds of huckleberry vodka white cake filled with homemade pastry cream and fresh blackberries. The rose is made from gumpaste and the cutters are from sugarcraft as is the silicone rose petal veiner. Every petal is hand veined and each layer of petals is lightened by adding some white gumpaste to the burgundy to give the rose a natural appearance of fading as it blooms. On top of the hat is the band logo, which is a skull, all hand carved and painted with propellor and sword which are irbrushed. The highlight of the cake is the hand made fondant pocket watch which was made by modelling it after an antique pocket watch (seen just above the goggles, with the lid opened. The lid was textured with a piece of antique (sanitized) jewelry for a beautiful appearance and then airbrushed and dusted for a bright gold appearance. The watch was hand sculpted and then indented with a round cutter. The outer layer of the indent and back are painted and dusted gold while the inside is dusted mother of pearl and then all the roman numerals are hand painted with a 000 paint brush onto the pocket watch face. The upper latch of the watch was made by making a boroque heart from the Witon silicone mold and then cutting off the top of the heart and using turning it upside down, turning the edges inward. The turning screw was hand made and veined to look like a winding piece. All pieces were glued in place with tyloglue. The board is an 18" ca
