Thank you all.  It is really weird that the light photographed that way because it did not look like that in person at all.  It was a strand of tiny snowflake LED lights that were just a soft glow under the glass - in person all you could see was a little bit of light emitting from each snowflake.  The photo that the professional photographer took did not have the overpowering glow.  His photo will be posted on my website and facebook, but I forgot to get permission for this site.   It really made me realize what a difference professional photography makes compared to my cheap digital camera.

that's really pretty.. the light seems almost too bright for it's own good though.  Cake is amazing though :D
