Hi Linda.  You can get the confectioners glaze at any cake supply, or online.  You brush it on and it dry's shiney and dry to the touch.  If you order it, don't forget to order the cleaner for it also because water gums it up!  Found THAT out the hard way.  LOL

Very cool! It is so lifelike! bty...what is edible lacquer confectionery glaze? Is there a recipe and is it still sticky once you use it?

Turtle is 3 layers of vanilla pound cake, filled w/ BC icing and hand carved.  Covered w/ fondant and hand tooled details.  Head, feet, tail, and all other accents are gumpaste.  I airbrushed all the colors. :)
