Becky. I may be able to make ruffles with butter cream....but fondant is another matter.Yours looks good I would hate to see what mine would look like...

Yeh - I bet Betty has perfect ruffles!!!  This cake made me not want to do ruffles anymore.  The main issue I had was that the tool I used to frill the edges kept sticking and pulling tears in the fondant.  I tried using powder sugar, corn starch even gave shortening a go but nothing seemed to work good.  Don't know if it was because the tool is plastic or what but boy, I was ready to go ballistic on someone.  Good thing my husband wasn't home!!!

I think it looks wonderful!  But I agree, ruffles are definitely not as easy as you would think (unless your name is Betty, of course.)
