My, my, Bonnie, you do have a way with words.  You should write a book :o)  The cakes are to be entered September 6th.  Remember, Bonnie, this is not a cake show, just a state fair.  I have no idea what to expect.  It could be great or it could have half a dozen entries.  I will post pictures.

Oh Gali, good grief, get back on your feet!  If I could sculpt the Mad Hatter, I would dance a gig!

Anyway, thanks so much to all of you!  Not sure I would have had the confidence to try without your support.

I can see it now....coming through the jungle, then there it is!........These ancient Aztec(or whatever) ruins, just peeking/showing through all the greenery, with the majestic birds (of prey! lol) just sitting atop it all!  WOW, what a picture this cake is going to make.  I doubt that anyone has ever done this!?   You will definitely be original!  You are going to knock the judges right off their feet!

Oh, give me a break, Goreti!  Anyone who can make flowers from sugar that are so real they have a fragrance, could easily do this.

I just got through sculpting some sort of god...sun god, maybe, that I sprayed gold and bronze.  When it drys, if I can get it off the waxed paper, I am going to attach it to the front of the top tier....yeap, got the top tier overed with fondant.  About time to start cutting pvc and adding flowers.  The birds I will add after we get to the fair.
