College Signing Day Cake

My first human sculpture…. This cake was designed for a college football signing party at our local high school. The mother of one of the four players who received scholarships sent me a rough sketch of her vision for the cake. She wanted the high school mascot, a Raider, holding up a football toward God with a Berry Viking and a Reinhardt Eagle (college mascots) rising up out of it. At the bottom she also wanted Col. 3:23…“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men,". I chose a giant rock for the cake to represent Christ..he said he is our rock, cliff, and stone in several verses. The football field and raider are on top of the rock which made me think about the verse that tells us to build our house on the rock and not on the sand. I had to use pvc pipe for a support structure since this was a large cake and figure. I was honored to make this cake for Habersham Central Raiders being that this was also my high school.
