Tried to make red... didn't work..... so rust it was. As opposed to the purple rose I posted, this was done in no time flat. Made gumpaste from Duff's red & had no trouble setting up. Go figure? ? Tried to mimic my climbing rose. Petals look like ruffles

I actually went last week to Michael's & with my 50% coupon bought artists pastel chalk. The one I really wanted was close to $100, too pricey for me. Bought 24 , reg $30 for $15. Unfortunately, there wasn't a "true" red in the pkg. More a rust red. I did grind the green for my leaves...pretty messy. Had a heck of a time getting it off my hands tho. I'm afraid to use my coffee grinder as it will permanently stain it. I got some on my plastic rolling pin, and it is now stained green.
Thanks for the offer to buy the red Gail. Please don't put yourself out on my account. :o)
