I would have but I got lazy. I got my buttercream too thin, decided to quit at that. I took it to work so I won't eat it all myself, it was just to try out the spackling coat, I've had trouble with bulges!! I'll post the next one covered with both spackle and fondant, will try again next week! Thanks!
Interesting! Would love to see the final product - I take it you're covering it in Fondant? Does it crust all the same? Thanks for sharing!
This is a lemon cake with the first coat of Spackle, cake and buttercream mixed together. I read on here and wanted to try it. The next few pictures are the same cake with the second coat of spackle to make it smoother. I liked the way it looks! The sides are much straighter and smoother then my last cake. I'll do it again for the wedding cake I'm working on.
