Thanks Sandra. That means a lot coming from you being an artist who is knowledgeable in that area. This pink actually came out just a little darker than I had wanted. I was hoping to acheive a softer, more subtle pink but this worked out just as well. I learned from that Craftsy class to mix just a touch of black in w/the pink to get more of a rose color than a hot pink. A friend who was visiting yesterday was complimenting me on the cake & told me she thought it had an old fashioned/vintage look to it. That made me happy b/c that was actually the look I was going for :)

Another thing that impresses me, Denise, are the colors.  You are always able to achieve the best, most unusual colors!  I love this pink and it is so perfect with the soft greens and white.

Yes, Katy I was finally able to post a pic that wasn't skewed. This was a much better pic, the lighting was much better. The previous pic was darker. Thank you so much for the sweet compliments. Doing a "Sock Monkey" 1st bday cake & smash cake for next Saturday. Hoping & keeping fingers crossed that my luck holds out considering my a/c situation :)
