Good luck! Let me know how you go! I don't have the steadiest of hands for this kind of thing so it took some practice to actually get it looking like a Rose. I have a friend who did one perfect of her first try!! Aahh! Lol

I didn't use bags inside the bag, just blobs all in one large piping bag, but I only fill the bag halfway, then when I run out fill it again :-) I did a whole dozen with no problem. I think it makes a difference what consistency of buttercream you use. I use the wilton recipe which requires some crisco (COPHA over here is the equivalent) it's perfect for Australia's hot humid weather, and being a bit stiffer, the colours don't seem to get muddy or yuck. It is harder to squeeze through a tip, but it yields better results. But I only fill the bag halfway because the head of my hand can change the consistency of the buttercream pretty quickly. Also.

yes it duz ! , I have tried the two bags in one , that was a mess !maybe if I used a larger piping bag to put all the bags in that would have worked also , ? , the colors do get muddy , at the end , how many did you get to do that came out perfect ?

Hiya! I've tried a few ways so far to do the rainbow thing... This one has turned out best, though its a little more effort. Just colour your batch of buttercream whichever colours you want. I chose pink, blue, yellow and violet. Then in small blobs, about the size of a standard small bouncy ball, drop the colours into the bag going "pink, blue, yellow, violet" until you've filled the bag as much as you like. Try to drop them around the sides of the bag. Your wanting the colours to easily mix when you end up squeezing. Then, when you twist the bag and get the air out, gently moosh the colours in the bag together (just a bit). First pipe a swirl or two onto a plate until you see them start to blend. Then go for it! It's so pretty, the colours blend a bit and you get flecks of orange and green slightly too! Hope that made sense....
