65th birthday cake for my brother. He has always loved rabbits and had them as pets when we were kids. The tortoise is a reference to an old joke between us that goes back donkeys years to a T-shirt I bought him. He loved it so much he wore it to work the next day (completely inappropriate for an accountant at the Economist), but that is him all over!
Genoese sponge 3 layer filled with lemon and lime marmalade and lemon buttercream. Thin top layer of chocolate cake pop mix for the mud. Hand crafted models from 50/50

thanks Becky - yeh, he's a sneaky, cheeky critter!
So Cute!
So adorable Katy. Love all the bunnies but I think the tortoise " takes the cake" w/that big ole smile. :-)
thanks Gail!
lol , reminds me of a rabbit we had named bugg's ! he looks just like bugg's ! perfect !
haha - thanks everyone. Doing my confidence a power of good! They all even survived the 100 mile journey too!
Katy, where have you been hiding this side of yourself?? lol These are PURRRRFECT. For me, it was the hare & the turtle racing..., and since the turtle won, the BIG GRIN! Fits both scenarios! lol And they are SO GOOD. Cute as can be!
Katy, you may say that modelling is not your strong point but these little fellows say otherwise. They are so adorable and very well done.
