This cake turned out to be a royal pain!! Made fondant, colored. Daughter wanted icing, as she doesn't like fondant. Made "vegan" icing. Piped the cake. Daughter & I go to dinner, come home, go for a hour walk. Come home, check the cake. ALL THE ICING ON THE FRONT FELL OFF! Got mad, cleaned the mess. Made more icing with just shortening. Went to bed. Wake up, have coffee, re-pipe, take a pic.... then don't give a darn if it falls off again. I'm done finished with this one! :o)

Thanks Gail

Unfortunately, you can't really see the large chocolate swirls. But by the time I took this pic.... I was SOooo done with this cake. Just wanted to take the pic & be done with it.

G:  My family thought I was silly & "obsessive", cause I was upset. Trust me my daughter is JUST like me. She would have had a hissy fit. I remember when she made the cake pops last spring for my nephews wedding. Holy Smoke... you couldn't go into the kitchen.... wow... you could cut the tension with a knife!!!!  hee hee

Believe me, I totally understand.  I actually shed a few tears (and a few choice words) over my daughter's cause I wanted it to be perfect.  You work so hard to make it perfect and it's so frustrating when something goes wrong.  ughh

Thanks Linda

Thanks G.... I'm telling you, my family couldn't understand why I was upset!!!!!  IT'S JUST A CAKE MOM!!!

Ah... ya, but after all that hard work, would be nice that it looked presentable & edible at the party!!

Oh and cake is gluten free.....  :o)
