Possessed Birthday Cake - front view

A friend requested a "gross halloween cake", but then asked if I could somehow incorporate her in-laws' 60th birthday into the cake as well. So I came up with the possessed birthday cake. A monster is prying it open and crawling out. The glowing eyes are submersible led red lights embedded in yellow fondant - gave it a cool effect. All the other elements are mostly fondant. Cakes are chocolate chocolate chip on the bottom and french vanilla on the top. The kicker? Did the whole thing from start to finish in less than 24 hours. YIKES! Talk about scary!
