The little records are so easy!  Black fondant circles.  Then I cut out smaller circle middles in the blue and pink and put little notes on them with a food color marker.  Couldn't be simpler. :)

I love this idea for my son's cake. He is a DJ and I would love to make the little records. How did you make them? They turned out adorable.

Meera - I don't think it's meant for cakes.  I've only used it for cupcakes.  Each tier has 4 legs.  I think the maker is classikool or something like that.  It was a gift from a woman whose wedding cupcakes I did.  I wouldn't take payment (she was a friend), so gave me the tower she had purchased for the wedding as a thank you for making them.  To be honest I wouldn't recommend this stand.  It only comes with exactly the number of legs you need so if you lose one (like a friend of mine did for this one), you are then down one tier - it comes with 8 tiers.

Eileen is this the customizable cupcake stand? You can use it for cake tiers as well?
