The big one on the top left is made with wafer paper. The other 3 are done with coffee filters. I did the coffee filter flowers last night, and the wafer paper one this morning. Went on line and downloaded a bunch of templates, and watched a few videos, just to get the general gist of what is available, and what can be done with them! The wafer paper will not work very well, if at all, with the more frilly type flowers, unless they are done more in the realm of the fantasy flowers.

June, these were fun to do, but is there any way to make them smaller?  Look how BIG they are on the placemat!

Well, I am in amazement, Bonnie!  I had no idea you could make something like this with coffee filters!  The larger on looks just like a carnation and the smaller like an old garden rose....love them (not looking at the wafer paper - afraid!!!)!  Actually, the wafer paper ones a lovely, as well. I am just scared of the stuff.

That is kind of tricky Bonnie.  You can lightly mist it & use a veiner but it's tough to get the right amount.

Goreti,if you notice on the big one, the only one I did in the wafer paper, I was able to get a little pattern on the petals by sticking a pencil under it & pressing down well on it to get that much needed rise/ripple effect.  Did this all the way across the petal, as close together as I dared too.

Do you have any other suggestions for impressing with the wafer paper?

Thanks ladies!  I have to admit, it was easier than I thought it would be!  The hardest part was finding the templates for them.
