Thank you Kathy.  To get the shine I used a steamer..using the same idea used for flowers.  It helps get rid of any powdered sugar left behind.  I just bought a cheep stand up clothes steamer..works great but you have to make sure you dont get any water drips on the cake.

Oh Michelle - he is just adorable!  For all the world it looks like a porcelain piggy bank and I love it.  How did you get that lovely shine to him?
