I use just a regular up right stand. Never tried the tilting one. Just remember my ruffles are going on a butter cream covered cake, and they "stick" pretty good. :-)))

I have a tilting cake stand also ! I don't know how Betty duz hers but I used the tilt one for this !

How do you guys do it??  How do you get your ruffle to start/stay on the SIDE of the cake?  I would be digging into the fondant!  These look really nice.

Pretty darned good ruffles, Gali!  You must be a cousin of Betty :o)  The buttercream looks luscious.
