Used a plastic cover to cut an approx 4 in round then cut petals freehand. For the leaves, used a heart shaped cutter then trimmed a little & veined with a toothpick. Much happier with this one.

I poked it with a toothpick.  I also took some white covered wire, cut it into approx 1/4 inch pieces.  I dropped it in lemon extract with some brown colored gel & let it sit until it was dyed. I then placed around the edge of the center.  Hope this makes sense.

AWESOME , AGAIN , THEY ARE BOTH GOOD , I HAVE 1 ??  HOW DID YOU MAKE THE SEED LOOKING PARTS ON THE OTHER ONE ?

Comment by Goreti on May 31, 2012 at 4:28pm

The other one each petal is on a wire.  Way too time consuming.  Worse since I wasn't happy of how it was coming out so I kind of gave up on it.  There is a tutorial on facebook if anyone is interested.  It is by Royal Bakery.

I hear you Goreti! The one and only one that I made was so darn hard. It must be because of the length of the petals?

Thanks Gail.  This one was much much easier.
