This cake was decorated using Ivory Regalice Fondant icing. The roses and foliage were hand-crafted using Squires Kitchen sugar paste. The cake was decorated with a Sugar Paste swag (Expensive way of doing it, but it makes the swags thinner and lighter like a proper fabric but also sugar paste is strong and will hold its shape while it dries in position.
Tiers 1 and 3 were then piped all over with a 01 nozzle to produce the pretty lace effect design, keeping tiers 2 and 4 plain and elegant.... sometimes less is more! The whole cake was then sprayed with an edible pearl spray to give it a beautiful satin lustre.
