Yes because I grew up with the same background my mom worked in one of the toughest jails in NY for over 30 years my aunts are all Correction Officers I worked as the Juvenile Counselor and a Administrative Assistant for a Law enforcement training facility the juvenile job took a toll out of me being that I'm a mom it was sad to see those kids go through that yes life is sweet as a baker lol...but sometimes some of these customers brings the Criminal Justice side out of me haha !

AHhhhh criminal justice....why does that sound familiar????  Could be that my niece & her husband are jail guards, & have have friends & relatives that were cops, now retired!!!!  Quite the change eh?? From criminals to cake.....think what you are doing now is sweeeeeter

Hey June I'm not much of a cake eater myself and the only reason why I tried it was because I was bored out my mind and I knew my kids would tear it up especially the 3 year old she just kept saying I want a pancake mommy lol...its fun thought not much cake I used a 6in round and cut it down to size to a 4inch I had some left over fondant so decided to use that and I believe I only used about 15 small size fondant circles than rolled them into logs and than flatten and place around the cake it was so much fun I think when I do my business expo in March I'm going to use this type of cake to WOw the customers but I'll probably throw some fondant eggs and sausage up in there !

Great job.....love this. I have seen a few "pancake" cakes.  Need an excuse to make one.  Trouble is, I DON'T want to eat cake, and my hubby & son don't want to either.   I really don't have anyone to 'pawn" my cakes off onto. Drats!!!  I am also 60....just turned, & just retired.  Work, children & their activities, ours were in sports, life.....ah there was no time for caking. I am now  having my cake & eating it to....  he..he.. couldn't resist the pun.

You got this :D I wish I started earlier too I knew how to do some decorating before I took it serious but I was working as a juvenile counselor in a jail so I was so focused on my degree and work finished school and got laid off and I just fell in ℓ♥√ع with decorating and went that route and I don't think I'm ever going back to the Criminal Justice field !
