i appreciate any ideas you have. i agree, and i will try that next time. this was my first time making fondant roses i was kind of playing around with them.

Yeah Katy, you, or some one, told me that in the beginning, and it did make them look less like bought ones, and were easier to handle too.

may I make a suggestion?  I think your roses would have looked a little more 'natural' if you had cut them down a little, so there wasn't so much bulk showing on the bottom.  No criticism intended, just a thought, then your lovely petals would have been more easily seen.
