Thanks for the compliment. Rolled buttercream is the only thing i use for my figures. If you add about 2 tbsp. gum tex so it will dry faster, it is great. you need to do sections at a time and let dry about an hr, then i glue sections together with piping gel. For standup figures, let bodies dry a little before gluing together, so they will hold their shape or you can make your figures by using an icecream cone for support and forming your figure over cone. i also use raw spaghetti sticks for support for my standup or situp figures. this helps them to keep their shape. also this way all your figures and cake decorations are 100% edible. the rolled buttercream tastes like candy corn, much better than fondant. just make your figures and let them air dry. keep in a cool dry place, they will last forever. place unused rolled buttercream in plastic bag inside plastic airtight container in fridge til ready to use, leave out til reaches room temp. to work with. lasts months in fridge. all my figures on cakes, etc. are rolled buttercream. the pilgrim on the thanksgiving cake is made around an ice cream cone. have fun!
