Wasn't aiming for realism here, used a little artistic license,never seen one this color before. : )

Well, that answers one question.  Hummingbirds DO have feet! lol  Love all that detail Betty.  We've seen several hummingbirds out back, but none as colorful as this, must have been the females, not as colorful as the males! lol  Only in the animal kingdom! 

Mom uses to have an array of them visit her feeders, every size, and color!

Beautiful job, Betty.  I would have not believed you could get so realistic a hummingbird in butter cream!  Only you.....

I think that is the best possible reaction you could get!  Not the tip, but the tears.  Lesley, my stepdaughter did that when she saw the 50th birthday cake I made for her.  I can't tell you how much that meant to me. xx
