Graduation cake for a soccer player
Graduation cake for my great-nephew. Not exactly my neatest work but it is what it is. Bottom is chocolate cake with peanut butter filing with a mix of dark and milk chocolate ganache. Top is vanilla cake with raspberry reduction and passion fruit SMBC.

Yes it does work for hair. That is what I usually used it for. When I went to try to use for the rope, stupid thing said nahhh. Ughh Since I was having such a hard time to roll it out evenly. I decided to do 1/3 length of the cake and make the tassels. Ended up liking the look in the amount but initially I just want to do the rope all the way around without the tassels.

Don't have an extruder....is it worth it?? I hate trying to roll out perfectly long rope/ropes ....impossible. That's why I ever use this technique. Does it work for hair too??

Thanks June. The soccer balls were a blast to make but to be honest towards the bottom I always screwed up but they still look like soccer balls. Of course my extruder is no longer working so I have to roll everything by hand. Looks like I will be buying a new one.

I'm in the same club Katy. This was purchase fondant because I didn't want to deal with making black fondant. Found it really dry.

Thanks Betty. Had such a hard time with the black fondant and for the first time I had a blowout. At least it was in the back.
