Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

The 3rd of the 3, 3layer, 6" cakes. I had crumb coated this cake, waiting to decorate it with my granddaughter Jordan. So when she came, we decided to just leave it as is, airbrush a little background for a canvas, so Jordan could paint on it. And she did! For a 4 3/4 yr. old, she did an excellent job. This is buttercream after all, not fondant.

Thanks Becky!!  She was 5 in August, so is now in kindergarten.   We don't get to play near enough.

So far she is into caking pretty good.  Her brother used to be, until he discovered sports last year!

It's been a learning experience for me too, doing my websites, but it's been fun too.
I guess you can teach "Old Dogs" new tricks. :)))) and I'm still learning....

Hi Luz, and thanks!  Wish I could show you all the videos of her spinning the cake, nice and slow, to find where she should go next.  Then she would dab on 3-4 flowers and say, 'That was a mickey mouse face', or 'That was a smiley face', but the Mickey faces were her favorite!   Guess I lack imagination, because darned if I could find either! lol

The kids & I had fun making them, and they were proud of the differing sizes, and shapes!  Thanks for noticing!  Then the other batch of kids, & I, had fun eating them, at the BBQ! lol

I know literally NOTHING about the internet, except doing emails, and getting onto different cake sites, and that took me a while.  Until I discovered 'cakes', email was the only thing I used it for.  So I think you are terrific to have set up your own sites that you have!!
