I know how you feel...I made my son and daughter in law's wedding cake 3 years ago and it truly was a labor of love but I cannot stand delivering cakes, ugh!!!!

Most I have gone is 1 hour away.... just cannot imagine 8 hrs.!!!!  I would probably pass out from holding my breath!!!!!   :o)

8 hours...I have delivered up to 1 1/2 and I hate every second of it...can't imagine 8 hours...

Thank you for all your wonderful comments.  This was my first wedding cake and my first draped cake.

I was never so scared in my life when we had to transport it 8 hours to the venue.  What we will do for our children!

This cake is one of my all time very favorites. In my minds eye, I can see very soft and sheer material being draped over this cake, it's that beautiful.
