I had some RI left over from the cookies, so I played with it on the turntable. I did not try to be neat, just wanted to see how far out I could go. I was using a #2 tip, and I stopped at 10 rows. Could have gone on, but I had proved to myself that it was doable, task finished. For this design anyway... lol

thank you Bonnie , ;x , got it !!
Thanks to you all, again! Here is the recipe Gail:
Meringue Royal Icing
This recipe makes a mini batch, perfect for doing a small batch of cookies, string work accents, or a quick session of piping practice.
1. Ensure that all your tools are very clean and grease free before starting.
2. Combine confectioner’s sugar, meringue powder and cream of tartar in the bowl of a stand mixer.
3. Slowly add water until a sticky ball has formed, and then add water by the drop until a glue-like consistency is reached.
4. Beat on the lowest speed for 7-10 minutes.
5. For thinner icing, add more water a drop at a time until desired consistency is reached.
6. For flavored icing, substitute 1 teaspoon of water for a clear flavored extract.
Katy, I just wiped the cake stand down good, then went all the way around, putting dots about every half inch or so, to have something to attach the stringwork to. It hardened in place very well, and really stuck! Even Jordan had a time getting them off. lol
Impressive. How did you get it to stay on the turntable in the first place though?
That child will eat anything, won't she?!
whats your recipe for royal icing ? you did an awesome job !
Yes, it is...amazing that it stayed up!!! lol With each pass, I expected it to pull loose, but it stayed on for days, until Jordan pulled it off to eat! {:o)) You are a kind person!
Amazing!
