Question.. She the bear in the middle down the bottom, that's Morgan.... When I was working with the Gumpaste the colour seemed perfect, came back to it this morning and he was darker.... Does all colour go darker as it dries? Or certain brands? I keep making my figures a bit too dark to what they are meant to be. Although I also got the colour wrong, he should be more a tan colour as you can see.

Thanks Penny - ezy crew is posted if your're interested.  With your black, try kneading in some crisco/trex whatever it's called where you are.  That helps bring the black back and also lightly rub some over the finished shape - makes a big difference.

Thanks ladies! I think maybe it does get darker as it rests, but I only notice afterwards when i compare again to the picture haha. I can never get black, black. No matter how much colouring I use it goes grey, so I use it grey, then go over it with a paintbrush dipped in the dye. That fixes it :-) good luck with tigger and ezy crew girls! Can't wait to see them!

Penny, what a wonderful job you did with this.  Never noticed about color getting darker after it dries.  It does get a little darker after it rests a bit but never noticed it after dried.  As far as arms, I am doing Tigger right now and he has his arms outstretched and I am having a hard time with them staying on.  I have them supported but every time I adjust anything there they go.

Ah Penny - I know all about arms dropping off, except with my Easy Crew recently, it was mostly ears and tails!

Aww ... Thanks Katy :-) I have to re-do one of his arms as I wrecked it when attaching it.. But the arms are pretty easy, thank goodness it wasn't his head!!!! still have to do the other two bears, and maybe the bananas too if I have time. It's for my daughters 4th bday, she loves the show, and Morgan is her favourite :-)

You did a terrific job Penny.  I'm not sure about your question of gumpaste going darker- I thought it went lighter as it dried....perhaps someone else will know the answer to this one.
