used Claret luster dust and astex gold luster dust , I find it works better when you paint with them to use lemon extract !

yes I know ! the yellow your talking about , even so you use so little at a time the yellow should not show , , use only a few drops at a time , than as needed a few more !

Ok

Think the reason the other I spoke of that was bright yellow is it's not "pure" extract.  Don't have any left on my shelf,  so I can't look & see. Will ck it out next time I go.

oh yes its pure , so if you get it it will go clear soon , but the color of the yellow did not change any colors I painted with it ever !

Ok Gail

Don't laugh at me, but why lemon extract???  Can it not be any extract. White vanilla,  almond, etc.??  Just like the alcohol we use, as long as it's clear, it can be vodka or gin. Are you using "pure" lemon extract. Pure lemon extract is pricey in my supermarket. A tiny bottle for $4. I can buy a large bottle at my local bulk barn, but I am pretty sure the brand dyes the extract to make it look very yellow.

I will try lemon juice.  Your ruby  broach is lovely.  Such patience painting all those small little nooks & crannies.
