Inspired by a Moet & Chandon mirror we have hanging in our bathroom. You know what it's like, you're cleaning your teeth and you think - wow that would make a great image for a cake!
Yellow butter sponge traybake filled with homemade mixed fruit compote and creme patissiere. Covered and piped in vanilla butter icing, with butter icing flowers (except for white roses, which are piped royal icing). Lady and plaque from fondant. Lady was cut from a template, marked with a flower tool to create impressions for the folds, then dusted with various lustre dusts. Face hand painted with edible gel pens.

Ah thanks Linda - praise indeed from an artist such as yourself!

This is one of my faves, Katy. Next to the object that you used as your inspiration, yours wins hands down over it.
