Wedding Cake created for the competition held on Nov. 10, 2013 by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropic at the Jacob Javitz Center, NYC. My cake was part of the Build of Baking & Pastry Arts table. I received a Silver medal for this piece.
Birdcage and birds are made of gumpaste.
Flowers are made of gumpaste and dusted with powder Crystal Colors.
Baskets are made of pastillage.
All stringwork is piped with royal icing using tips no. 3,2,1 & 00.
