Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I made this for my niece Gi Gi this past weekend! The whole family helped to get this cake from Illinois to Wisconsin, and a 4-day power outage due to storms. I've made this cake before, but my niece really loved this cake and had us to duplicate it in her wedding colors. Thank you Family and Thanks for Looking!

Pam, I am really glad you got me to do these, because they were easier than I feared, and the kids all want more!  And now I can do it.  Even if I run out of sticks, they can be dipped & set on parchment!  Much easier for the kids than slices of cake!!  Should have done it sooner.

OMG! Bonnie I really like this, your rose cake pop is GREAT! I didn't know the petals could be curved outward, I like yours better!!!! Since Saturday evening I have been getting rest. As for the flowers, I had no help, except for my 20 y/o would be up some nights keeping company while I worked on them.  Finally, you are absolutely right, delivering that buttercream  wedding cake was nerve wrecking, only one cake of the six arrived with no problem.  Thank you Bonnie! Love your wisdom -Pam

Pam, this is my version of your rose petal cakepop! lol

Sounds like you could have used some help with all those flowers!  Hope you had some.  And transporting a cake with buttercream sounds to me like a suicide 'mission impossible'!! lol

If anyone can do it, YOU CAN PAM!!  Did you sit down & prop your feet up any at all?

Sorry, forgot to mention, this puppy has 118+ flowers made for it. Gumpaste hydrangeas and roses. I put so much stuff on this cake that I didn't even get to add all of the hydrangeas and blossoms, I ran out of time. I have to laugh at myself, I always do over kill with decorating! LOL

Hello Bonnie Willey! Yeah! I'm so glad you tried the cake pops. Thanks so much for the wonderful comment on this cake. The flavors she requested were really simple ones, there were two chocolate cakes with buttercream frosting, they were the 2 turquoise 8" cakes by the top tier and the others were yellow cake with butter cream. The yellow frosted cakes had fondant ribbons and gumpaste pearls. All of the cakes had JEM gum-paste cutwork rose appliques. WI - it was so pretty up there! We were in Pleasant Prairie, near Kenosha.   Thank you Mai and June!

Pam, this is sooo you.  Are they all buttercream?  The display is so effective, beautiful.  What flavors did you do?  I used to take Mom to the family reunion in Madison as often as I could, it is lovely up there.

I finally made a batch of cakepops.  Got brave, and put the rose petals on some.  My hubby was quite impressed!  Thank you so much for that idea!
