I know I'm a broken records but Kathleen Lange, cake sisters, is the way to learn this correctly, and anybody can do it.
I hear you Jayme, me too!
Wow. Just wow. I'm dying to learn this technique. I can do some basic steps, but much practice is needed!
my goal is to try to do some thing even 1/2 as good as yours i will be happy to do at first , lol! ,. i am happy that others took a look at this also . to see how beautiful it is ,
I'm not ready, and not even close. Kathleen knows I want to teach and she would tell me. She and I had that talk the day I finished this very cake, actually. I probably won't get to do it until I retire anyway so I'll keep practicing and learning, but that is my ultimate goal.
wow just looking on line at the books . hopefull that some1 dont know what they have and send it off to the sal-army , lol
your so rite linda ! keepthem alive , i love them , i am not good at piping , and i would love to do a lambeth looking cake , even if its not as good as yours and Rima's i want to learn so basic's on it ,
By the way, Rima, you do such an awesome job now, that I think you would be able to teach what you already have learned. Just like Gail said, learning just the basics would be awesome. Piping has become an almost lost art form since fondant, gum paste, and other mediums have taken over, that the old school piping skills are fast fading away. But that doesn't mean that they aren't still desired! Someone needs to keep this skill alive.
I will Rima.
