Oh my dear, you commented on this photo back in January. You were at the party:) LOL
Rima... I just went through all seven pages of you comments... I feel like I "missed the party"... Where was I...? I'm not quite sure... But I must confess... To all whose listening... Rima's right... Kathleen Lange really is the answer for all of your Lambeth techniques... And the good news is she travels and teacher all over the country, a lot... So, hopefully she'll be in a town near yours eventually!!! And I TOO wish more people took an interest in this method and taught it... but have to to start somewhere and I'm VERY grateful to Kathleen for fulfilling that role...
another fav for me , your works on lambeth, are truly works of art , if was to try and do one i would realy love it to look like this , amazing ! ; )
This was only my second or third cake. I'm very new to Lambeth. Thanks so much, Shirley.
If she gets them done, you can bet I'll be the first one purchasing it. =O)
She's been working on the DVDs for about 2 years now. Keep an eye out for them.
Well DVD's are great Linda, but I gotta say, with some things, hands on is the best. Some techniques I can see, and Bam!.......I get it. Others, like piping, like you said about my practice cake, it takes the angle, the pressure etc.....and when a teacher is right beside you, guiding you, correcting you, then doing in front of you, so you can see the "actual method", it is amazing with those "instructions" how the light bulb comes on.....and YOU GET IT!!!!!
I am surprised that Kathleen Lang doesn't have a DVD. Just about all of your professionals do now days.
I hear you June. I would love to do it...but I just don't have that kind of an income to pick up and take off. That is why it is so frustrating that there aren't other teachers teaching this. Even if it is on a YouTube video, or a DVD. I love DVD teaching because you can go back over and over again to see the technique, and then polish up where I haven't quite got it.
Well, unless I come into a pile of $$$$$, not going to Cal-a-forn-ia....to take lessons. It's a long way from Canada, eh! Absolutely know one I know of teaches Lambeth in Canada, let alone in Ontario.
