I use Satin Ice chocolate fondant. It tastes amazing and it is soooooo nice to work with. I do not make my own fondant as I do not have the time to but I love Satin Ice.
Hello everyone, thanks for the wonderful compliments. The stargazer is a stunning flower and takes abit to make. Each petal is made individually on a wire. The green center part of the stamen is also made separately as well. The brown stamens are made separately. Everything dries and once dried, you begin dusting and adding all the detail on it. Once you have it all dusted and paint in the details, you may begin putting it together. The brown stamens are afixed around the large green center. Then you tape 3 of the petals evenly around the stamen, and tape the 3 remaining petals in the 3 spaces left on the flower. I steam it slightly to set the color, and voila!
I love your stargazer lilies. What did you make them out of? Your fondant work is so cleant and the pink and browns of the chocolate fondant look beautiful together. I am finding more and more people really liking the taste of the chocolate fondant also. Really stunning. Please post how you made those flowers!
