Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Carved number 5 cake, wanted to give extra portions so used black fondant to highlight rather than cut out, this also was a rich chocolate cake covered in chocolate buttercream and smothered in sugar strands, the customer sent this text to me after the party.
Cakes were delicious, hilarious sight of 40 small children shoving it their faces with their hands & then wiping buttercream down their party outfits.!!!!!

Thought so..... why do the nicest looking cakes take SOoooo much time & mess to make??!!! Case in point..... Katy's shoe. Hard work, heartache.... then triumph..... Hee Hee

June was it hard believe me hated it they went everywhere, had the cake on a tray to catch the loose bits but them little things just bounce away lol

Nice..... Good idea using the fondant. I thought cake was sculpted till I read your comments. Was it hard to get all those sprinkles on?????
