The cake was a 10-8-6 and it served 80.  It does not count the top tier in the servings so they can save it.

Ooo the Satin Ice... depends on where you live. If you are on the East Coast, I think Global Sugar Art is the best place. Their prices are great and their service is fantastic. They have a good turnover so you are not getting something that has been on someones shelf for 6 months already. If you are West Coast, I buy mine most of the time from The Ultimate Baker. www.cookdream.com I believe is their website. Their prices are great and it does not break the bank to have it shipped to me. I buy it in 20 lb buckets.

Thank you... this cake has quite a story behind it... It was Thanksgiving weekend and I thought the wedding was Saturday.... got a call from the Bride on Friday at 8 a.m. to find out how it was going... I almost went Black Friday shopping and decided not to.... Thank heaven... the cake was for FRIDAY... wedding at 1. Good thing she called because I still had 1 layer of the base to bake and nothing was iced or anything.... I flew through it and got it all set up and as I was leaving their home where the reception was.... they were just leaving the church. God is Good to me!
