When my niece asked me to make her a cake with her Jeep on top of some rocks, I have to admit that I panicked a bit. After some research & seeing Liz Marek's car tutorial, I at least had a clue how to start. This is what I came up with. Cake is a coconut cake/filled with pineapple curd & toasted coconut/coconut SMBC & MMF

Thanks Sandra. Really struggle with the faces but I think I'm improving. At least I would like to think so. Most of the time, I end up throwing out the first face and doing a new one. lol
Oh man, and I had not even yet seen the people! Great job.
Thanks Mandy. It is not easy especially when you eyesight isn't the best. I need to go in for a stronger prescription. Everything looks fine until you see it enlarged in a photo.
excellent job, not easy making a vehicles this small
it does make sense Goreti, yes thanks. You did such a neat job, no splitting or cracking.
Katy, don't mind sharing at all. I worked in sections. I pleated just like you would do fabric or paper and left one end without a pleat & a little long so that when I attached the next section you wouldn't notice. Kept doing that until it went all around. Then just added a little piece at the waist to look like the waistband & hide the top of the pleats. Hope this makes sense.
So she should have been Goreti. I've just viewed the pic full size and zoomed in on the figures. I mean, for goodness sake, you have ruffles on her blouse, boobs, PLEATED skirt. She's amazing. By the way - mind sharing how you did those pleats?
Thanks June, Betty & Katy. @Betty, coconut is not my favorite but my hubby loves it. My niece wanted the same thing but I actually used different recipes. She said it was delicious.
@Katy, still practicing on figures. I think this is one of the best faces (mind you I had to restart it more than one). Still doesn't look like them which is what I was going for but overall not bad. She was in awe because I made a blouse that looks like the one she was wearing when she came to see the Jeep on Saturday.
Goreti - this is awesome! Everything looks great and your figures are so sweet!
