Wanted to try the brushed embroidery technique. Dummy cake covered in ivory fondant. Gumpaste butterflies, and a fantasy rose to
go on top. :o)

Thanks Goreti, Gail, Katy & Luz
Katy: I had done this technique a long time ago in a class I took & hadn't done it since. So I had a small leftover batch of royal & bc icing. Thought I would give it a whirl. First couple of tries I threw out. Then I realized the consistency of my icing was wrong. Too much royal & too thick. Once I fixed that, it went fine. You have to work fast. You pipe in small increments, cause if you pipe too much, it dries & then you can't pull out the icing. Was fun.

Did you enjoy doing the brush embroidery?  I always think it looks such fun and it's on my list of things to get around to doing!
